  • what is the use of Capo ? are there songs which cannot be played without capo ? if yes then what effect capo has on it ?
Capo makes same fret to ring higher note. Mostly used for easy playing of Em and Am open formations.
2nd part I dont know. But I know that original "All along the watchtower" uses capoed open strings strumming. It has a pull off effect.

Hendrix fan mate ? Cool !
  • Attempt at D'Morgan's questions :
    1) A capo is used for artificially barring the neck or duplicating the open notes at a higher position. Yes, plenty of them, particularly fingerstyle artists like don Ross and Andy McKee.

    2) Scales are sequence of notes arranged between two octaves . Chords are created using specific notes of a scale but there is a minimum distance of 2 semitones to be considered a chord.

    3) Key generally denotes the notes which can be utilized in a musical piece. General chord progressions based off the master key.

4)Yes. It means the piece is in the key of Dm and associated chords. They contain the same 12 notes per octave , the guitar is limited in range ,the piano is limited in expression.

    5) Too varied to be generalized. Only ones without lyrics.

    6) Vibrations to sound, mechanical-sound-electrical-sound conversions. Hole for hollow guitars, pickup output to amps for electric.

7)Variation in the timbre/tone and feel. Nylon and steel strings.
If I can recall correctly, Dsus2 will violate this norm. Correct me if am wrong.
  • what is difference between scales and chords?
Scales are sequence of notes ending in the next octave. Chords are sequences of 3 or more notes.
  • what is key note ?? how u know which cord to play for a song ??
Key note is the first note of a scale.
By playing initial lead from higher 2 strings and by ear ( This is my personal method)
  • @Chacha_Ji Yep that is correct . But in general music theory it is the 1 3 5 triads that are considered as chords whether they be M m Aug or Dim.
  • have you heard mozart ?? what it means when a symphony is in D minor ? similarity between paino and guitar ?
Yes. It means chord progression will be in D minor scale.
Piano and guitar produce same notes. similar chord progression pattern.

    Ok bro.
  • why are there many types of string thickness ?? difference between spanish and acoustic guitar ?
The principal node frequency of a standing wave is proportional to sqrt mass. so thicker string will mean lesser frequency.

Second answer don't know: koi batao bhai.
  • which principle of physics is used in guitar?? which part of the guitar produces sound ?
    Acoustic: Resonance.
    Electric: output waveform.
    Sound box.
