upsc is very opaque in its marking scheme. they don't agree to show the answer paper stating weird reasons, this puts a llot of doubt in mu view on their fairness of awarding marks.
how to award marks what points should be there. nothing is specified. so yes it is unfair and random too.
but what can we do? people have filed numerous PILs and most of them have been rejected by SC. i can't see any legal remedy for this. so have to deal with the way it is. no way out man. good luck for your aurrent and future attempts
arey yaar...randomness ki hi baat kar raha tha...nothing more thn that....my last comment in this thread..randomness is there and most of us agree..chalo everyone best of luck for mains result (from the bottom of heart in positive sense)..and yes already have moved on..no remedy is thr..no issues bro and sorry if i have hurt anyone...till the time attempts are their everyone is in the game including me.. ..i just hope the issue of randomness in marking is being address by the baswan committee...as have already written the mails and met the commitee chairman once..the issue is within its perview....hope for the best..and hope from this year this type of error isnt their...guys who are questioning my motive..kindly see post 2104 mains speculation thread,,i was ridiculing those who were giving the example "that my brother failed in compulsory hindi,,next attempt he got ips"..as false and imaginary..now i am on that side only..no problem.
yahan pe bahut turram khan aake jeevan ka gyan de rahe ki hard work karo, weakness accept karo aur duniya bhar ka auda ehsun...beta jispe beetti hai na use hi pata hai..saala yahan english mein board pass karliye sab degree le liye english mein mains clear ho gaya pichle attempts mein aur phir kisi chutiye ne english compulsory mein 15 number diye aur phir usko bolo ki do hard work,persevere..my foot..saala deliberate ho ya na ho lucky draw se fail to karte hain ...himanshu bhai ab job ke saath do attempt..ye jo tumhare saath hua mere kuch aur doston ke saath bhi hua hai aur kya pata iss baar mere saath ho jaaye...kya hi kar sakte hain..life is never meant to be fair..bas yahi sachchai hai bro..good luck..
It is not like that UPSC is biased and giving low marks to few candidates. UPSC tries to be as rational as possible but...... 1. No one can claim that every examiner who is checking copies is doing his job seriously. 2. Checking copies is so monotonous that after checking 10% copies most of examiners are bound to loose interest in reading answers. 3. In subjects like Pub Ad , many questions are from research papers and journals of last few years, I personally do not believe that all examiners are even aware about these researches, they are master of standard books and will check copies based on that knowledge only. 4. Most of the candidates who are writing mains are good. UPSC do not care too much as in the end they are getting good candidates only. 5. I can give many examples to strengthen my arguments but dont want to as you can find examples around you .
