Update: cisf training of 32nd batch (2015 exam) will not start before oct/Nov 2017. Currently 30th batch (2013 exam) is undergoing training. Although there are some talks of merging 32nd batch with 31st batch (for which training starts on 10th Oct 2016), but this is unlikely. So, chill till then.

In 2015 PET took place in October as far as I remember and interviews started from January. And yes PET results are declared on spot. Based on which you will be either called for medical on the very next day or be dropped from consideration.

No, there won't be any merger, In our case that is the 31st batch, there were talks for a long time about merging. But it didn't happen. For any merger the verification should have taken place by now, which I am not aware of. By the way, 31st batch starts on the 10th of october.
