YES there is no diff when it comes to bjp and congress. Firstly, I am no supporter of Lalu and political motivation argument is mostly true. But not everyone can be motivated, some could have been alarmed by the headlines in the newspapers. Mostly such incidents are not reported and people in cities don't hear about them, nor do MPs/MLAs usually ask people to relocate to Pakistan. You cannot assume to know what must have been going in the minds of other people. And artists are soft targets, someone can announce that anyone who slaps him will get 1 lakh and I am quite sure that there would have been no dearth of people threatening to rape his wife on Twitter.
And yet this is the best time to be in India than ever in the history of mankind. Poverty is at a historic low, famines no longer occur in India, even most most traditional people do not subscribe to notions of overt caste discrimination (even though it has not completely been eradicated) and there are no kings anymore(I am a Republican and have no interest in celebrating kings of yesterday be it Akbar or Ashoka or Shivaji).
But you cannot deny that there are some people who believe that it is the majority's benevolence that has 'allowed' Muslims to survive. Even celebrities like Raveena Tandon who seem to have no political motivations seem to suggest that Hindus have allowed a Muslim like Aamir Khan to succeed. And, please listen to Tariq's answer to the SALON-Firstpost talk held today on his take on Aamir Khan's situation.
For anyone convinced that intolerance has been eradicated from India please also listen to Tariq's answer on intolerance in India, he has called all of us intolerant on the question of 'aukaat' and how we don't treat those less fortunate as us equals. Caste distinction continues to exist. Nepal has banned discrimination against LGBT individuals but we continue to stigmatize them, same goes for people with mental illness, AIDS and leprosy.
And I have not compared India to Saudi Arabia, but I do have a dream that India is more open than what it is now.
I am an atheist and even I don't have a fear in claiming that I am one so that is a testament to the social fabric of India. But, in the current stage of our society if I had been a LGBTQI individual I would have still been apprehensive of sharing that.
1.they vote tactically.not divided on caste lines.
2.they have highest fertility rate their voters will be maximum in future in Dynasty politics who wants to speak against welfare of their own children.
3.people are afraid to speak up imagine some other religion personality would have been shown like SHIVA in PK movie running in toilets(remember charlie hebdo,salman rushdie)
4.above all Hindu bashing in cool in India.If you are intellectual first you have to abuse Hindus at most they can throw ink on you(haha ..India is sooo intolerant and saudi barbaria is place to migrate to becoz it is tolerant).

2. SCs STs have similar fertility rates. Fertility rates are dependent on socio-economic status and every UPSC aspirant knows that. BJP has supported dynastic groups all their lives. All parties in NDA are Dynastic. Piyush Goyal's dad was a minister in last NDA government, the have Sanjay Gandhi- the designer of the horrible sterilization program - his wife and son, Rajnath Singh's son is getting into politics.
