  • End of age attempt apartheid.. Are we day dreaming friends.. It is akin to challenging reservation policy. Equality for reserved and non reserved...not possible in our country.90s me poore desh me aag thi phir bhi reserved and non reserved me difference mita nai paye.. Bhaio 1 choti si realistic acceptable demand le kar chale the..Jo Shayad poori bhi Ho jati...par aadhi chhod poori pe jae poori chhod na aadhi PAYE...
  • we must piggyback or draw leverage from the patel agitation or similar movements.......the world knows of the caste system and it's sordid past but do they know of the institutional setup of horrors set to replace it??

discrimination and apartheid were bad and must be condemned but a strong tide of Reverse Discrimination must be resisted and let us aim for a truly egalitarian world. we cannot go back and forth again and again...the time is now to put a spoke in the wheel. we are supposed to be civilized homo sapiens not The Planet of the Apes !!!!
  • I do agree that it should have been nipped in the bud but now is not too late . Even 5-6 years ago I would have been sceptical but these are vastly changed times. The slowdown in the world economy, the 7th pay commission, dwindling job opportunities in the private sector and social movements of dissonance like the patidar, jat ones means that the time is ripe for a tinkering. I say this because we are not asking for a change in the status quo like overhauling the reservation system but enabling greater access for general category aspirants.

Our demands can be easily accommodated without ruffling any feathers and causing heartburn to anybody. It is this government's stubborn truculence and arrogance that is causing this friction. Now we know what intolerance really means. Any Gujaratis here, want to get the message across to the Patels and to fight for the removal of this pesky age/attempt apartheid.

Our demands are legitimate, realistic and in the contemporary world can be accommodated with ease. Only political will is needed. Intolerance is an apt description of the current attitude of the government.
  • There are folks talking vote bank politics here. I hope one has not forgotten that golden adage of the political world- An Organized minority is a Political majority.

I do believe in the general decency of folks. I have been upfront and vocal about how this is NOT an ANTI -RESERVATION movement but one to remove an unfair Apartheid system that has seeped in quixotically and has no place in a modern society.

With all due respect, Behenji Ms. Mayawati is ready to propose quota for upper caste poor. When opposition parties are ready to implement such drastic changes what we are asking for is peanuts.

The problem : the issue is not capturing the popular imagination and not becoming a mainstream issue. With gibberish like this Sheena Bora murder case hogging all the attention we need to push our issue into the mainstream. Once thrust into the limelight I think the accruing momentum will propel it ahead.
  • When will the baswan committee submit it's report? Grapevine suggests IPS is on it's way out and will become a separate exam with separate parameters and criteria and all. The malady of Ageism has hit this government hard and their quest for evermore younger blood is nauseating. What is next ? Replacing the board exams with the CSP. The reasoning would probably be that both are required to study NCERT books !
  • Do we not have any friends in here , who has contacts in the PRINT media ??

I suggest , one good step forward is modify this draft prepared by gks and team a bit and get it published in a English and Hindi daily .

This requires minimum effort as just the draft ( which is really prepared so well) has to be slightly modified , and this can prove to be really fruitful.
I am sure , we can reach out to a large number of affected aspirants in this way and even create a right buzz in the media by this.

If any one can do this , my suggestion would be please get the article verified by gks& team { who prepared the original draft}.
  • We have to intensify our efforts for equal opportunity.

In a democratic society everybody has a right to hear; as I saw the movement needs some catalyst approach to carry on its agitation. Here are some SLOGANS dedicated to every aspiring youth who is intending to do good for the society by his hard work but due to insufficient opportunities he is not able to fulfill this dream..................

    1. Aarakshan nahin, to Avsar do.

    2. Modi sarkar suno pukar, Abki baar do Avsar apaar.

    3. Band karo ye bhed-bhav, Karna hoga koi upaay.

    4. Avasr bhadao, Desh bachao.

    5. Sab rajneeti ka khel hai, Ye pareeksha bemail hai.

    6. Mauka nahin, To mat(vote) nahin.

    7. Kam avasar bemani hai, Abhi to poori jawani hai.

    8. Acche din aane wale the, Avsar bhi lane wale the.

    9. Loktantra ki hai pehchaan, Sabko mauka mile samaan.

    10. Yuva varg ne thani hai, Avasar ki kami hatani hai.

    11. Desh badalne aaye hain, Par kam Avsar ke satayee hain.

    12. Pukaar raha hai berojgaar, Mat cheeno humse adhikaar.

    13. Maang rahe hum Avsar aaj, Bheekh nahin, hai ye adhikaar.

I hope some among them will definitely change the way you are, and will become "The SLOGANS" of a democratic protest.

(If need any ratification, suggestions are welcome.)

    1. We are not demanding arakshan
    2. we can NOT demand for apaar avsars
    3. we can not make it anti-reservation protest
    4. movement is not directly related to saving the country
    5. for making the exam better - committee is already formed
    6. we can NOT directly threaten the govt
    7. looks like the title of a B grade movide - like tadapti jawani, hasrat bhari jawani etc
    8. we can not target modi
    9. again looks on the lines of anti-reservation
    10. can not remove all the bars
    11. we can not say - kam avasar - we can only say EXTRA avsars
    12. all are not berozgaar - it is not unemployment andolan
    13. IT IS FINE

YES WE NEED SLOGANS - BUT THOUGHTFUL ONES and NOT Like picked up from THE B grade novel or Mithun's movies - like - gaanv walo, basti walo, berojgaaron - chalo LaLa ke khilaaf laden

@aks I appreciate your efforts for spearheading the movement and bring forth your valuable approach but I should say you wrongly interpreted many among these slogans, SLOGANS are not made for only considering elite intellectuals rather they are for putting forward the populist demand considering popular mood of common mass who directly or indirectly affected by the move(millions are affected). Remember "no agitation has been successful without mass representation"
  • No elite like Ranbir kapoor and Neil Nitin Mukesh type protesters will come forward and sing for your demand like "Sadda haq, Eitthe rakh"............
Rather it is a general movement where general faces like Mithun and Nana type protest and the way they demand their rights will work .....

I mean to say petitions and request are OK but what about ground reality, nothing is happening on the real sense......do something on the real front.

Or do we have to wait until committee submits its report. It would be too late by then.
