In protest to these we in KERALA are planning to conduct one week long beef fest, food items containing only beef .lets look who's gonna come here . >- \m/ :-bd
kitni ajib baat hai ki so calledआधुनिक दुनिया के log shanti aur gyan ke khoj me bharat aate hain.aur hum log un logon ki philosphyको अपने से बेहतर samjhte hain
Why is tolerance and secularism a one way traffic in this country? I am tolerant and secular and I wish to remain one forever but I get frustrated when opposite group doesnt respect my views and sentiments, forget sentiments I atleast expect them to argue reasonably and rationally but all that comes from their mouth is the holy book. Eating beef is a matter of personal choice and I agree but why do muslims argue for beef eating because it is permitted in quran and not on the basis of a liberal rational argument? Recently J&K High court banned beef and muslims majority kashmir revolted saying that it is permitted in Islam so we wont oblige court's order. One lady separatist Asiya Andrabi even slaughtered a cow against this court order and uploaded a video on youtube. It's still there. You guys can check it out. Coming to the point, if instead they say that we want to eat beef because it is a matter of personal choice I would agree but they don't. They say because it is permitted in Islam. Tomorrow if one tries to open a pork shop in kashmir..same people will kill the guy or beat the crap out of him because it is not permitted in Islam.
The argument here is that ends dont justify means. All the supporters of beef eating aren't same. People from north east eat it because of their personal preference which is understandable and agreeable while muslims inject religion into it. Unless this stops Hindutva communalism shall remain there forever. Even Nehru said that RSS communalism was born because of League's communalism. Hindus have always been tolerant. We never heard of hindu communalism till late 19th century or early 20th century. But one gets frustrated when secularism tolerance and liberty is expected to be a one way traffic.
bhai this is all appeasement ! I don't like the RSS but this appeasement by the Conmen party in the last many decades has taken a toll on us . why shouldn't the plight of kashmiri pandits be discussed ? why is this word secularism not put to test in Kashmir ? Why no country of Muslim dominance a secular one ? what is the issue in having a uniform civil code ? i for one have equal faith in one of the name called Allah of one divinity but these are issues and they must be discussed like the rest !
sorry to intrude here : Indonesia and turkey are two examples of secular country with muslim majority, other examples are egypt and jordan. yes jordan despite being a monarchy, syria is secular despite dictatorial, Fatah of palestine is secular etc..
hahahaha i knew this was coming ) do you sometimes read foreign news papers or magazines ? okay just Google ! just imagine the state of affairs and urgency of introspection if out of 50/60+ Muslim majority nations you could write these 3-4 and that too Syria and Jordan ) ) don't prove me a point . it's all right if deep down inside you think i am wrong and you are right ! truth is stranger than the fiction my friend
Western up becoming hotbed of communal incidents thanx to bjp and sangh bigots and also due to inept administration of up. Intolerance rising and it is ominous.
Modi as expected proving to be disaster. He has enery to talk all types of crap but hesitant to speak on issues that matter. His silence is a tacit approval to communal wrongdoings.

i was saying about the type of secularism that existed before the current crisis in syria.. syria had separate courts for religious affairs... i am not going to debate on this...since you have already developed a stereotype it would be an act of folly to discuss secularism with you..

yeah, mob lynching is a common sight around me but tell me android or ios?

When the most important debate is supposedly concerning ios, windows and android who cares if a scholar is shot dead, who cares if a man is stoned and murdered, really who cares?! I think it was high time we realised and told each other to believe in humanity. Otherwise somewhere a man would be stoned for eating beef (they are stil figuring out if he did), a blogger would be hacked and schoolgirls would be abducted. I feel like saying Manmohan Mitra's dialogue from Agantuk, ''Ei na hole sabhyata!'' (This is indeed civilisation.)

this whole south asian region is a bunch of barbaric subhuman cannibalistic tribes, what makes this region worse, much worse than other such regions is that this region is grossly smeared in the victorian hypocrisy. everytime such horrid incidents happen, like an ostrich, we can dig a hole in the grounds of our high morality and shove our heads in there and tell ourselves that nothing happened, someone's religion is "religion of peace" and others' is "tolerant" so nothing happens, "all is well". I still firmly believe in humanity and its progressive evolutionary traits but things are getting hopelessly bleaker everyday.
