In my office alone, three of us attended interview in 2014. All three are out in prelims 2015. Aur 4 log select hue hain, inme se 2 ne to mains ka pura syllabus nhi aaj tak.nahi parha..
I cannot explain it any further. Nothing personal againt anyone here. May you all achieve your goal.
haan yaar..injustice hua hai aur yahan kuchh pata nahin log kaun hain...? anonymity is high..so lets not deviate.
Sorry to mention this... but why we are demanding extra attempt and age relaxation.... people have written and qualified for the examination... everybody was on the same page.... everyone got information at the same time...it is a competitive exam and candidate are judged relatively...moreover i dont think that anyone who was betting on paper 2 was preparing for paper 2... it is like this and we shd accept our failure and move on in life.... otherwise this exam will eat up more years of your youth life... P.S last attempt this time.... failed in pre....before this 5 attempt and five mains... both time cleared IFoS... So frnds dont misunderstand me... And i will not deny that If age and attempt are given I will also give the exam( either you pass or you will keep on giving exam unless your attempts are over)..and waste more years
oh...u r so smart
can u tell me why was then anti-csat protest , y was csat made qualifying...wasn't d syllabus same for all

even when csat was there , there were many who qualified prelims because they were in good in csat, they were not prepared for mains..this thing happens every year ...it will not have any impact on the final result.
@himanshu07 bhai i can empathise with you.but do you understand the plight of ppl ,having lost this year in their last attempt..ppl much better than you also failed ,cse 2014 rank 284, many interview appeared ones..those scoring 128 in gs paper 2014 (p1)..also failed.so dont crib.be emotionally intelligent and if you have attempt left, prepare for mains..next time you may get good final rank.regarding intake increase ,now its childish..nobody comes on road and demands are very high degree ones. upsc wont listen anything for this year..in your hue and cry, many deserving ppl,who have no attempt left, will get deviated..so better focus on your preparation.
But we shud demand for key transparency......and revision if required like state psc ......such stupid arguments to publish key one year after not digestible....its ok that u may put condition of unavoidable litigation after completion of exam.....

yes.....what to say,,still feeling like some nightmare which is about to end soon
Parties like Congress, SP, RJD and the like (i mean the Opposition) are eager to get as much fodder as they can to take the BJP head-on. In our movement we must make our representation to Rahul Gandhi who was critical in getting two extra attempts after new pattern in 2013.
So we must strike the iron while it is hot, i.e. give fodder to the Opposition and get their help in publicising the injustice done thru three-month-notification thing. The matter should be raised to the level that it is discussed in the Parliament in the winter session itself.
Their is an old saying that even a mother doesn't give milk to her child until the latter cries. So, publicising our demand is crucial by using the medium of the Media as well.
any candidate who appeared in the Civil Services Examination, 2015 but is otherwise ineligible for Civil Services Examination, 2015 due to attainment of upper age limit or number of attempts on the crucial date for examination prescribed under this rule, shall be permitted an additional attempt in the Civil Services Examination, 2016.
i am just copied from notificcation...thanks@gks..
To my understanding many on this thread have attempts left. The petition involves them too so that they don't lose out on a precious attempt. And not simply those that have none left
But we request @gks and others in core team to please, please, not exclude us (2011 ones.) Please add a line about us too in the draft. You can club us with the last attempt in 2015 ones. That how despite being granted an attempt it was virtually wasted because of last minute changes.
For rahul gandhi thing, the below lines are put in the draft -
Also, out of the two extra attempts provided by the government after 2013 changes, one attempt has been nullified by introducing the changes again in 2015 thus leaving the effective extra attempt to one only. We request the authority and government to restore this wasted 2015 attempt by providing an extra attempt and one year age relaxation.
