@Chomuphilosopher : Slogging western with NPTEL . Is mitra sir providing personal attention + answer writing ?. Do review his teaching style vis a vis others. I am planning to comr to Delhi during the next summer vacations, does he start a batch around July-August ?? Also would he allow to complete the course in parts, if not able to attend all the classes in one go ??
@Ambi there are answer writing sessions after completion of some portion of syllabus...sir reads answers of each and every student and gives suggestions then and there..regarding personal attention, he clears doubts of each and every student as class strength is less, it's no as issue...
I can't compare him with other teachers as i have not attended lectures of other teachers, i join mitra solely on reviews of forum members...
Even i had the same problem, i asked him about completing course in parts...i think you can talk to him, he might allow you...but his batch will start probably in March - April...If somehow you are not able to join before prelims, do self study for paper 1 atleast, everything will become smooth even if you join after prelims, but you'll realise that you know most of the things...actually, if some senior guy on forum can take initiative to make short videos on topics focusing on concepts, there is not need of coaching...then only tests and discussions will be required...
