  • @all

guys shouldn't we start a new thread to discuss the final expected cut off ( for those still to appear for interview all the very best ! ) This silence is smothering me.
In case you have already started it please direct me to the discussion thread.....

Let me begin my prediction ...

final cut off ( mains + interview) GE category ~ 810
    for IAS ~ 880
    for IPS ~ 845
    for IRS ~ 825

  • @all who are done with their interview....little help please.......is there anyone who has put IRS above IPS in service preference?? what kind of questions were put on this kind of service preference?? My interview is on 26th and I am yet to find a very satisfactory explanation for IRS above IPS.......and any one else grilled over peculiar choice in Service Preference column...

Same query here. I too have put IRS over IPS. In fact IPS is down in 7th place in my preference list. My interview is due soon, anyone has any idea about what questions were asked regarding this?

What is the honest reason you put IPS below? More often than not, it is the best answer.
If you think that it is something UPSC will frown upon, then you can say - "I don't think I have the temperament for it" or something to that effect

Hmm. I guess I'll just tell them honestly. It'll need me to prepare the speech a little to refine the exact words though, so that it sounds okay.
