I hope it is 33 and 7 attempts. A one off extra attempt in 2017 will not be very useful for those who exhausted their attempts earlier and have since moved on to other jobs as prelims is earlier this year. Need solid marks in Mains as I can see poor marks in interviews looking at how 30+ guys have fared last year (barring exceptions of course).

Anyway, I have followed Fuhrer for info on prelims result date so can say for sure that he is likely to be more correct than others.
Just 1 question to you. Where did you see poor marks for 30+ guys in interviews? Can you share your source or any official document you are referring to?
It's anecdotal evidence. So could be false also. I got 165 (not last year), four other friends got 150-160 (last year) another friend whose interview went superb and who is an HLS (Harvard) LLM got a 145 (last year). None were able to gauge what went wrong and all have aced many interviews before. Only one guy 30+ I knew was given 200+ and from what I know his father had a word with a board chairman.

Such a crap.i know one guy 212 marks in 2015.another one 196 .few more 200 around.all these were 30 plus! What went wrong is your inability to handle things and ur ability to msg ppl on fb and then running waway .u lack courage and carry deep seated prejudices.u r unfit for a top job.
  • Govt ki philosophy is catch them young not catch senior citizens
Catch young but smart and intelligent ppl..n how young r you..n even if u r..r u selected??no.lemme tell u d avg age of selected ppl..it is 31 now.r they senior citizen?? FIRST OF ALL LEARN TO TAKE EVERYONE ABOARD.TRY TO COMPETE WITH PPL..N PLS PAHLE PRE CLEAR KAR LO YAAR!!
  • Extra attempt ke chances hai kya?.......
  • @coolbuddy
dont know bhai, but comments from everyone seems the doors are closed.

There should be maximum three attempts with 26-27 as age limit. Within a couple of years competition will stabilize. Rote learning year after year is not benefiting anyone. Just like they did for IIT. After 32 or in case now after 33 , there is little left in career for those doing marathon preparation. Atleast after 3 attempts they ll get a closure and look for other better options and contribute to own and nation building.
The problem with us indians and even in subcontinent is that we dont know when to step back. You have to see cricket , players just dont retire unless pushed away. Its in most fields anyways.

    Nevertheless , good wishes

aapko pata hai ki jo log sarkari school men padhte hain ya remote area ke hote hain, 3g,4g aur internet abhi bas 4-5 saal pahle ki baat hai.,jo delhi nahi ja pate, unko ias-pcs ki samajh 27-28 men koi job lag jane ke baad aa pati hai. hum der se hain lekin mature aur durust hain.
  • Better idea ye hota ki dopt should give one attempt to everyone who appeared between 2011-14 irrespective of age...thus closing the matter once for all
