Book by Shantinarayan and P.K. Mittal is followed by everyone including Question setter.

Most of the chapters of the book are the part of the syllabus, nevertheless, keep referring previous years question and avoid reading redundant topics.........
  • is it pk mittal or pk chatterjee
  • Can anyone please solve the following two questions of complex analysis?

    (i) CSE 2009, paper 2, Q 1(e)
    f(z)={a0+a1*z+..............+a(n-1)*z^(n-1)}/{b0+b1*z+...............+bn*z^n}; bn≠0
Assume that the zeroes of the denominator are simple. Show that the sum of the residues of f(z) at its poles is equal to a(n-1)/bn.
    (a0,a1.....; b0, b1..... are coefficients)

    (ii) CSE 2011, paper 2, Q 3(c)
    Evaluate by contour integration,
    1
    ∫[1/(x^2 - x^3)^(1/3)]dx

There does not exist the word like "sufficient" when you enter the arena of UPSC.

Ma'am (as your name indicates), coaching materials can at best add to the value of your existing knowledge, can never be a substitute of personal book reading and problem solving.

BTW, we are here to guide you if we can.............
  • I have following material almost new as I opted for maths but now I will do with sociology:
Krishna series: Modern Algebra, Analytical geometry 3D, Matrices, Complex Analysis, Dynamics, Statics, Vector Calculus
A text book of calculus by SC Arora and Ramesh Singh
Ordinary and Partial Differential equations by M D Raisinghania
Full xerox material of K Venkanna.
    Anyone interested?
Hi, I am interested. I am located in mumbai. Let me know if they are still available.
