  • Third time last time appeared for interview also studied like hell feeling devastated last minute csat change.spoiled everytng who is responsible for this abrubt changes that ass hole fucker modi.ruined everytng im getting mad was getting mim 98 max.104 from various keys
  • I am the worst case here..
passed out Btech from very reputed college in 2011, was placed in a company but did not join and came to delhi directly.. failed in 2012 prelims but i was not prepared well so accepted it and tried hard for next attempt.. cleared 2013 prelims but failed in mains.. I was very disappointed then tried for some backup (like SSC but not successful ).. failed again in 2014 prelims but i thoght i did not focus on prelims that year much and had taken it for granted..

so started preparing for 2015 as a clear shot with full preparation for mains(getting top 20 rank in test series) as well as prelims(I was getting top 10 rank in every test of test series) but yet again failed in 2015.

so in last 4 year only achievement I have is i wrote 1 mains (2013) .. No job nothing... I am highly disappointed and sinking inside..

how to recover? what to answer to my family??
@AutoGlobe take one month rest... stop thinking abt exam.... free ur mind..... get refreshed... retrospect during this period that where are u lacking...... make a strategy (spend just 2 hours a day), baki tym enjoy karo...... and after one month its time to fight back....
    dear friend,

don't blame yourself and see that you have done ur part. there r many ppl who dont even try for fear of failure. Anyways take some timeoff and go for vacation fr sm time. later reflect ur mistakes and decide future course of action. if u have attempts left forget previous failures and start as if u dont give a damn abt past, that is if u decide to attempt, otherwise take the inspiration and try to achive anything else that u may be interested. remember that life is too big compared to civil services and there r greater career choices than being a bureaucrat ( no disrespect towards civil services intended)
  • And again " Ignorance of your ability is ur disability " c u guys gnyt
  • Dosto bahut Jayada inspiration ya out of box ja k mat sochna.. I don't want to be pessimistic but with current pattern this exam is gamble..i have been writing mains every time this could have been my 5th mains but I cudnt qualify.. Believe me this exam. Is total gamble.. 100 random questions are thrown at you..my suggestion is.. Do prepare but along with job. I know you will find many people telling you many inspirational stories.. But there are lacs of failure stories also who no body tells. There are thousands people who got very good rank when they were in job.. If you are 26plus.. Don't repeat the mistake of putting all your eggs in a single basket..and don't be so. Sad.. Don't think extreme.. Just relax.. Let the feeling of failure sink in.. And don't take any decision in haste at least for another 4 5 days just relax.. Take proper rest.. Spend time with family members and friends and get back to books or join job... Life is not ias.. Ias is not life. This is yet another exam and it' doesn't check your hardwork or intellect only.. Luck does matter...good night.. Thanks moderator and owner of forum.. Bye tc
And preparing with job is the best option now because we have already read everything. Now it is just luck. And trust me if you have job in hand, it feels much much better. At times it is difficult to manage but you can do it. Agar bhagwan/allah/Jesus ne chaha to agli baar jarur hoga. I am planning to start preparation after 2-3 days. My immediate.priority is APFC and then will focus on UPPSC.
Yaar is their any latest news about APFC?

ignorance of our abilities is UPSC's disability...
  • UPSC is a mirage , an enticement, an illusion..
It is so damn easy to be allured and entrapped in this vicious cycle , which further tries to engulf u , as u try to free urself from her shackles..

My third attempt, last year given mains and prepared like this is last.... But failed... Four years of complete preparation...
  • Mine was 2nd attempt.was expecting 102-205
    Gave mains last year.
    I will give another attempt.
Presently I am working as IES,don't want to leave job.
However will take long leaves as soon as my training phase gets over.
    don't leave your job
  • 3rd attempt- 3rd failure!

The worst part is breaking the news to your parents. They will ask us to cheer up and stay calm but deep down you know that you have broken their dream!!

However, life is all about survival of the fittest. We might blame reservation and scrapping of CSAT, but that won't help much. To be very frank, we were not good enough on 23rd August, 2015 and so we could not qualify.

The way forward is to pick ourselves up. Those who have the energy and chance to try further, remember that life is not about hitting hard but it's about getting up every time you are down after you have been hit hard. And for those who don't have further chance/ zeal, just remember that life is not UPSC and UPSC is not life. Those who are unemployed, try hard to get any decent job ASAP as it takes away a lot of pressure. I am working as an Income Tax Inspector in Kolkata and this is the only thing which is helping me in keeping my balance.
