@Maxi mine is OLD Rajendra Nagar [3-5 PM] Could attempt only 70 , lack of preparation ( Was expecting question on Imperialism ,Colonialism, reasons for Wars, their effects, industrialization)
But I think it's not bad after all we did not prepare for it to our best. I just tried to get my hands on as much of study material as I could on whatever topics Mr. Seeniah used to teach. I did 75 and most of what I wrote in answers match to what was mentioned in solutions. So being a first test of this year, I was quite satisfied with it but at the same time felt that the paper was a little bet lower in difficulty level which is what Mr. Seeniah also said.
@Maxi I am at ORN and the same 8-10 AM batch. I attempted for around 60 marks. I reached 45 minutes late. :P But I found the paper to be pretty reasonable. I was comfortable with most of the questions barring some 2 markers. However, what worries me more is that the paper was limited to what was taught in the class and the scope of the exam, with words like such as and etc, is far wider.
@fallen_leaves That's very much true as he has time and again reiterated that we should limit ourselves to these topics only and should not go beyond that which is not very logical. Looking at the pattern UPSC follows, it is this such as and etc. which are going to hold much weight. Also, what he has taught in culture is very less. He did not even touched one-third of Spectrum's book on culture which he was telling us covers substantial amount of portion (which means not completely). Now why did he need to gave a revision of Modern India in 3 classes if he was going to face a crunch of time for other imp topics such as Culture & World History is beyond my understanding as well.
@Maxi & @fallen_leaves , ur batch guys come out of the class so lazily that we have to stand on stairs sweating like anything. thoda tez chalaa kijiye. :P anyways, today classroom was heaven and now onwards it will be .
@sanket002 True, we had to wait for quite a while and it was finally comfortable to sit in classroom. How was your paper of polity? I was not able to complete it within time and did not wrote the answers seriously,thinking that no one will check the answer sheets.
@fallen_leaves Well that means you're among the ones who sit at back. Is it? I am among the ones who usually try to sit in the first few rows. I find it better to be able to look at the faculty's face while he is explaining anything. I don't know how but looking at their faces from up close helps in better understanding. At least for me.
@sanket002@maddy07 Well that's guys Mr. Seeniah's fault totally. He is habitual of coming late to class. In 8 am class he comes not before than 8:20 am and yesterday when he was supposed to come at 9:00 am, he came at 9:40 am >-)
@Maxi Haha. Yes. That would be correct. The densely packed class makes me feel a little claustrophobic. :P So I try to be close to the exit point. Lol. Jokes apart, the good thing at Srirams is that the class is wide and not long, so even when I sit at the back-benches of the class, I do get a clear view of the faculty and whatever is being taught. And I too feel that having the faculty in your line-of-sight surely helps. Close or not is a different issue
