I've been thinking of joining Sriram' mains 2013 program for quite some time. Anyone else planning to join Mains 2013 coaching program of Sriram's. We can discuss it's benefits/ losses here...
@vrteja Yes, that's the reason I am planning to join this. I called them up last week and they said that I should get the registration done and fee submitted before 10 May to get the batch of my choice. Don't you think, it's a bit early for this? Shouldn't we wait first for our performance in prelims but then I just dont want to be in a situation where I don't get a seat in a batch of my liking because of delay in registration... What are your thoughts on this? When are you planning to deposit fee and get the registration? By when do you think it will be okay to wait...
I also went there and asked them that I want to submit my fees only after calculating my prelims marks and they told me that most of the people will be doing the same and it wont be any problem.
@spirate This time both vajiram & sriram are conducting courses for the new syllabus only and not for the entire syllabus as acc to them time is not sufficient enough for getting the entire syllabus covered. Moreover, they believe that whosoever is appearing for mains in 2013 must have prepared the existing syllabus at least once either in the pre cum mains course of these coachings or on their own... Batch of sriram is starting on 13th june. Clases will be 7 days a week, 2 hrs daily. Batch will get over by sept end. They will also cover current affairs and essay preparation which vajiram will not hence the fee diff of 7k.
i had posted demand draft today through speed post for morning batch
it is wise decision to join sriram as it providing with essay and current affairs also
initially i thought to wait till prelims but later decided to join earlier
as this is new pattern , coaching institutes may not conduct additional syllabus batch next year and we have to go through complete g.s coaching and also its so expensive , so finally decided to join as early as possible

I think you made a right choice as I am also planning to submit fee and get my seat booked on 10th i.e. tomorrow so as I can stop worrying about it and can get on with preparation for prelims...
