  • mera isbar prelims me score aa raha tha 96+163= 259. clear ho jata sayad. aur mera yeh pehla hi attempt tha. aur last bhi. 32 years ho gaya. bohut dukh ho raha hai. agar koi concerted effort ho to achcha hoga. sayad govt sun le.
  • Discussion held today @ 8pm in the Sindhi park.Consensus was built on the basis of movement
And the need to make representation to the political representatives first
The basis of this fight is primarily threefold
1st- very short notice of 2015 prelims exam
2nd- compensation to candidates who failed on CSAT scheme of exam during 2011-2014
    3rd- Injustice to 2011 candidates.
Please correct me if I hv got anything incorrect @gautamsingh, @manoj kumar
  • @Failure'sGuide Bhai 2011-14 csat injustice hua..n no compensation.2015 immediate notification. If u club these two, there is 2011-15 injustice.so govt must compensate.idea of getting immediate relief for 2015 candidates is there ,but the support base will be strong for 2011-14 candidates, who lost their precious attempts due to csat, which was discrinatory as govt itself agreed.
  • A meeting in Mukhrji nagar already took place
It will be better if both orn n Mukherji ngr ,collaborate ur efforts .After 31st octobet ,n 8 th november things will speeden up.Be in contact wid @InGamble2016 .He will be soon in Delhi. There are many guys ,waiting to their bit.
  • Those guys who cleared 2015-pre also had only 3 months to prepare after the notification. So, differentiating us who couldn't clear from those who cleared is important. This differentiating must be in very clear, assertive and convincing terms like:

    1. Some gave a lot of extra-time to Paper-II before the notification .as its questions carried more marks per question, limited syllabus, past trends showed importance of Paper-II for clearing pre.

    2. Some were very weak in Paper-II and thus couldn't clear earlier pre exams. They thus gave a lot of extra-time to Paper-II only to find that it would only be a qualifying exam.

    3. Some were by default good in Paper-I and others in Paper-II. Paper-II neutralised just 3 months prior to exams, thus benefiting the former as Paper-I needs a lot of time.

    4. Jackpot for those who before the notification gave much of their time to Paper-I. They had to score just 66 out of 200 in Paper-II but those who had invested in Paper-II needed over 100 out of 200 in Paper-I.

    5. Any change of syllabus/pattern is significant. Change in syllabus/pattern affects those who had been preparing according to old one. They do have inertia. Any change must be notified at least one year prior to pre.
What benefit will you get by differentiating those who got selected in pre 2015. They also had to face the same uncertainties as faced by you.Only, either they were able to adapt better and quickly, OR they got lucky.

Differentiating like this will do no good. Demand extra attempt for all those who gave 2015 as last attempt.
  • OUR CONCERN

We would like to bring to your notice the GROSS INJUSTICE done to us (UPSC CSE 2015 candidates) by bringing changes to the examination process JUST THREE MONTHS before the exam.

Here’s how we have been victims of INJUSTICE :

    • UPSC CSE Preliminary Examination have always consisted of two papers with a total of 250 questions (before 2011) and 180 questions( 2011-2014) to evaluate the merit of candidates .
But this year (2015) one of the two papers was made only ‘qualifying’ in nature. This means that marks of this paper was not added to total marks to decide the selection . As a result only 100 questions were there to judge the merit of candidates which increased the uncertainty in the selection process to an unprecendented level.
No examination in this country whether engg entrance exams, medical entrance exams,SSC, BANK PO,State PCS exams, and so on , decide merit on mere 100 questions and that of same nature i.e only General Studies. This amounts to an absolute lack of appropriate criteria to judge the merit . If this is not INJUSTICE , then what else is?

    • Any changes in the selection process is the prerogative of the concerned authority. But if the change amounts to sheer INJUSTICE, then its our right to voice our concern in a democracy. A mammoth change was introduced by scrapping 50% of the sylllabus by making it merely ‘qualifying’ , just “ THREE MONTHS “ before the examination. How can one adapt to such a huge change at such short notice for an exam which needs AT LEAST ONE YEAR of preparation by one and all. If this is not INJUSTICE , then what else is?

    • There were several candidates who had exhausted all their attempts due to far-fetched changes introduced in the exam process since 2011. As a compensation, they were given an extra attempt this year. But introducing changes just THREE MONTHS before the exam marred their chances . So giving an extra attempt was made null and void by brnging such changes. If this is not INJUSTICE, then what else is?

    WHAT DO WE WANT ?

In the wake of the GROSS INJUSTICE done to us ( UPSC CSE 2015 aspirants), we request/demand AN EXTRA ATTEMPT for all of us who appeared in 2015. This is the least correction that can be done to address the great harm done to us which have put in us deep turmoil and despair.
Our demand would not lead to any law &order problem, nor would lead to any burden of state exchequer, neither would it harm the interests of anyone. It would only lead to betterment of all those who want to serve the nation .It conforms to the core principles of DEMOCRACY. Hope democracy wins again.
    good one.go ahead.

I would like to suggest that iss second point me where you speak of " how can one adapt...." etc. there you should specifically add that most of the candidates were preparing hard for paper 2 before the announcement came of making it qualifying. So all this time was wasted. iss baat ko plz highlight kijiye. kuiki UPSC zaroor bolega ki yeh koi major change nehi hai.
  • They would not publish it voluntarily - it has to be published As ADVT BY PAYING MONEY
True, collectively we can do it at some time later...
We can send this as an open letter to Economic and Political Weekly. policymakers read EPW i have heard.
  • Dear aspirants (sufferer and non-sufferer),if you are thinking injustice has been done and X is raising the voice for cause and Y will get the opportunity by default, then this will be fatal for this generation and next generation. So,come forward and raise your voices very soon.
  • Yes friend,That is the plan for now - that is why i was asking to please tell who all are ready to send mail on friday - to see the count

first we'll send mails then political mobilization

because before MEETING people in person - they should at least SEE OUR request on paper, so that it does not take MUCH EFFORT in EXPLAINING EVERYTHING
I AM IN. HAVE JOINED THE FB GROUP TOO. PLZ BATAIYEGA KAB MAIL KARNA HOGA.
  • My opinion

    1. People were preparing hard for paper 2 since 1year and suddenly it was made qualifying..
    2. A lot of discrepancies are there in result of prelims result of 2015. People scoring above 120 in GS didn't qualified.
3.If student protest could led to scrapping of csat thn WHY CAN'T THE PROTEST COULD LEAD TO RE-EXAM. THERE ARE LACS OF CANDIDATES WHOSE FUTURE GOT AT STAKE. WE COULD PROTEST FOR RE-EXAM. IF IT CAN HAPPEN IN SSC, IT CAN HAPPEN IN UPSC TOO., IF WE ARE UNITED
