Csat protesy and 2011 people did 1 thing that we must learn from them That was getting mr. Jitender singh onboard .. What 2 extra attmpt protest lacked d most was nr. Narayanswamy was nt onboard till last...so it took more time and a higher scale of protest and lobbying
I even had a audio file of mr. Jitender singh talkng to a candidate in csat protest..many off u might have heard it was circulated alot on whatsapp...he was too friendly and in tune vth candidates demand And as dopt min.... He is very imp
I do not know whether it has been discussed here or not. So I will ask it again - What procedure we have to follow to get Mr. Jitender Singh onboard ? When and how we should meet him ? Because the soon we do it, the better are the chances to get our demand through.
was this the reason that when the demand came in the public domain, Newspaper, NewsChannels - that EVERYONE Interpreted it BASED ON THEIR OWN WISH and the MAIN THEME WAS LOST.
Someone was saying 'it is LOHE KA PLANT' someone was saying 'it is English Language', someone was saying 'it is Aptitude' , someone else was saying 'it is wrong translation' , someone was saying 'it is related to MAINS and not prelims and that too only translation' , someone else was saying 'it is related to english paper in mains', some one else was saying 'it is regional language paper in the mains', someone else was saying 'it is the HINDI paper in the mains'
We all have heard ALL THE ABOVE arguments - BY THE PROTESTERS THEMSELVES, By them who were ACTUALLY PROTESTING
IT WAS NOT THE MISTAKE OF THE CORE GROUP / DRAFTING GROUP but it happened because the CORE GROUP / DRAFTING GROUP did NOT HAVE THE TIME to EXPLAIN EVERYDAY TO DIFFERENT PERSONS - (1) What are our demands & (2) What is the basis and arguments behind them
and EVERY ARGUMENT was NOT written in the draft, so a person who had just printed the draft HAD TO interpret it based on his own wish.
We are trying to not let this happen with our draft also (but lets see what's in the hands of the future :-) Having a Detailed draft would help - if anyone has printed the DRAFT ONLY - he can ANSWER THE QUESTIONS OF A TV REPORTER TOO let alone political leaders
Also if someone is not able to read beyond some pages - it is NOT the fault of those 20 persons including 3-4 lawyers who are working hard in drafting (now if someone says how it can take so many persons so many days in writing only 6 pages - we don't have an explanation for it) and it was already told that the draft is NOT MEANT FOR A GENERAL READER WHO CAN't READ above 10th-class-language - it is meant for retired bureaucrats as heads of committee / institutions.
Those who DID NOT HELP EVEN A LITTLE - are NOT WELCOMED FOR Criticism and THAT TOO when ONLY 2 DAYS ARE LEFT IN DRAFT SUBMISSION
Lets not start a debate on it - WE SHALL NOT MAKE THE DRAFT SHORTER like 1-2 pages and we are convinced on it We are incorporating changes suggested by many here, any other suggestions are welcomed.
sir/mam... kindly ask upsc to realease the list of 1000 more candidates in pre....15000 candidates is too arbitrary number in this one paper exam,,where luck matters more than anything else,i am sure many good players are failing this exam by decimals or 1-2 marks....last year they realeased the list of 17000 candidates. 1st time in the history the selection is being done on the basis of one paper.. regarding my case last year i could have been selected even if they have selected 12000 as i got 241(107 g.s+ 134 csat)..this year was scoring 109.34(shankar),,114(gk today)..i am out...thats pure luck based exam pattern and nothing else..
I understand ur pain....but what u said wud not hold ground...the selection no depends on posts....

gks, I am fully aggry with you. I ve participated in both protest. Isliye mai keh sakta hoon ki aapne bahut thik se samagha hai protests ko,
Draft aapka sahi hai, lekin usse bhi adhik depend Jo log ise manually lekar authorities ke pass jayengge, un par karega,
Kyonki pehle huye protest me log Narayaswami ya UPSC ke joint secretary ko apni baat samagha hi nahi pate the,
Result ye hota tha ki real demand kuch aur hi ban jati thi,
Mai bhi mains ke baad aap logo se jaroor judunga physically bhi, Wish you all the best

And as dopt min.... He is very imp
If the govt wants it can grant a free attnpt in 2016 as it did for 2011 cabdidates on d floor of the house
We give our proposal and meeting and evrythbg to baswaan committe
It srill May or may nt recommend what we want
If its a ngtv frn Basaan comm. Tha. too political pressure will be needed
If its /+ve recommendation frm d committee..than too we need political pressure
So meeting MPs
Opposition leaders
Ministers etc
Getting Mr..jitneder singh (d.min dopt) to our side is off utnost imo. As was done by 2011 candidates
BUT IT HAS TO BE MADE CLEAR TOO
Those who think that it should be made SHORT OR ONE PAGE DOCUMENT,
Then THE SUMMARY OF THE WHOLE DRAFT IS ALREADY WRITTEN IN ONE PARAGRAPH ONLY - "Subject".
So should we send ONLY "SUBJECT"
Any Active reader would tell that there is a FLOW in the draft, which would be LOST if trying to make it shorter.
