  • bhai yaar m kisi se baat kar rha hu and woh meri taraf na dekhe .. toh mera mann usse thappad maarne ka karta h...
mai tumhari tarah nahi dekhuga
  • Do candidates who go before or after us matter in how much marks are awarded?

Is the "panel of impartial and unbiased observers" immune from the charms and follies of other candidates?

I know there can only be speculation or empirical proof at best w.r.t. This, but what's your opinion?

The candidate before me was in DANIPS through CSE2014 and the one after me is in Railways through IES. :/
I dont think they would be absolutely unbiased. If someone before me made a great impression I am sure I will be judged accordingly.

If these things, and there must be many more than someone going for an interview before us, were not an issue then I do not think candidate's marks would vary by 30-40 marks in consecutive interviews.

    What do you think? @DrKingSchultz
bhai upsc me aisa nahi hota hai . wo kafi bade wale hote hain  unpe impact nahi hota utta.
i saw all 6 (that too IRS(IT) getting very low score last yr in A/N session in single board).
and 5/6 getting high score in Alka sirohi board.
other example dewan gave 140s to 1st candidate he has ever interviewed.
toh sayad utta relative nahi hai .
@timepasss i don't doubt your hypothesis but just to clarify, 6 IRS (IT) ppl getting low marks in a single board has a different reason altogether. Last year, few of them got their interview rescheduled (yes, upsc does listen to rescheduling request of in-service ppl). Their interviews got rescheduled on the same day back to back. It created a bad impression on the board which got reflected in their marks
1st thing upsc doesn't listen rescheduling from candidate side except for medical reasons . they were forced to reschedule due to president visit which was compulsory to attend. So its wrong perception that UPSC listens to inservice people . It was a request from academy not candidates.so bad impression thing is im-material in my opinion.
upsc put all rescheduled candidates in-service candidate in 2 groups 1 to prof H C Gupta and other to Dream killer Dewan. Board was well aware about the reasons of their re-scheduling.
The way they asked questions it was bound to doom.
ard 8 people saw about 50 marks reduction in their score 4m last yr.
There are other reasons too for rescheduling. I wouldn't go further into it. And presidential visit is not compulsory to attend. I didn't attend it and upsc knows that it's not compulsory. And upsc has responded to individual requests too. Academy may or may not support such a request.

It's not a perception. I thought the same until i saw a contradictory example here in the academy.
  • If chairman (Chatter Singh) after finishing his first round of questions leaves his seat and comes back after sometime.....is it an indication of a bad impression that will convert into a low interview score??? .... even though he asked few questions in the end also....
Is there anyone else who faced similar situation in the past or i m the only one...

    very common thing.
bas sir ke khade hone pe khada ho jate aur lautne time bhi khada ho jate toh sayad 20 marks badh jata hai.
  • verbal duel between legends one mains legend and one interview legend

bring down the " academy ".
But , let me reach there :)
  • Happened the same with me and another candidate in the afternoon session. Don't worry about these trivialities.
