Bhai atheist hona bhi hinduism ka part hai..d great sage kapil said "god is zero", it means god is combined power of negative and positive. ..aur bhai other than brahmins also ppl dnt like beef to be eaten...i can tell abt UP from where i belong, kshatriya, yadavs, jaats n many OBCs dnt eat beef..its not found other than muslim areas..
why do we relate beef ban to religion? many people might feel its wrong but please don't bring religion into it. and in case you are bringing.. let me ask 1 thing:
India being a secular country.. Y should the religious sentiments of Hindu's not considered? every1 knows how sacred cows are considered in Hindu religion. so, if you bring religion into the issue of beef ban and shout that India is a secular country etc.. your reasoning is flawed i guess.
hinduism is diverse not monolithic..many communities are traditionally non vegetarian and many eat beef...if one's personal belief does not allow you to eat beef then dont eat it..it is as simple as that..why impose personal choice on others.. FYI many of the trendy and swanky resteraunts in delhi sell beef product ..i m sure many hindus also go there..so i think we shouldnt generalise
Look religion is a personal affair. Cow is dear to some Hindus, OK. So don't eat it. Why are you thrusting your religious practices on others!! India is not a Hindu nation! Muslims do not eat pork but they don't press for a state wide ban on pork. They don't thrust their religious practice on others.
This matter is deeply related to religion specifically targeted against Muslims and Dalits who are majorly beefeaters. And the issue was never of cow. It's about bulls, bullocks and oxes (non productive animals) clandestinely covered up under the garb of cow.
If cow is so dear then why doesn't Hindu fundamentalists protest against animal sacrifice which runs unabated at Gadhimai in Nepal and scores of Hindu temples (Hadimba in Manali for instance)?

Btw there is no concept of nationhood in Islam.
A muslim can only be loyal towards darul islam country which India is not.
