NGO as back up plan.

edited May 2015 in Miscellaneous
Friends , I have been planning to start an NGO. While preparing for civil services , we are constantly disturbed by a sound back-up plan. Taking up a full time job does eat a lot of our time. I too have got three job offers but all are hectic jobs with extremely uninteresting job profile. So i narrowed down on to something which will help us in many ways.
Being a co-founder of NGO will have several benefits - very helpful in securing admissions in MS/MBA ; acquisition of leadership skills ; positive impact at interview stage etc.
I have seen individuals with great service aptitude on this Forum so if anyone is willing to be a part of this initiative. Please let me know.

P.S : I live in Jaipur so anyone from Delhi/Jaipur or nearby areas will be welcome.

    Me interested, from Delhi..
  • me interested. from jaipur
  • Interested from jaipur
  • Have we met earlier? May be in a metro, returning from center after exam.
I have discussed same things with bunch of guys then.
  • @msdtime : Not in person but we did meet on Socio thread last year. :P
  • Ohh :)
    I thought otherwise.
Actually I met few fellow aspirants on my return journey from mains exam centre. There we talked abt backup plans, and I shared my idea of starting a NGO.
I failed my 4th mains in a row recently. :((
In a process of starting some social work since 4 months. Believe me, its easier said than done. Funds n money is off course biggest issue.
Bhai sapne chur chur hone mein time nahi lagta. Log, bahut ghumatey hai aur latka ke rakhate hai.
PS- I live in Wardha, Maharashtra. Working there itself. Search Wardha n find what are the main issues here. : :)

So you managed to start an NGO ? Yeah Funds will be hard to come but i guess a group of dedicated individuals together might manage it. Waise aap ka experience kaam aayega kafi.
