Sending letters to UPSC: Urgent for all who appeared in 2014 mains exam

edited April 2015 in Miscellaneous
Friends! We have decided to launch a letter campaign..This time there is going to be strange situation.we have to fill our pre form on 16 may onwards.and they have started from last year to ask about optional subject in pre form itself..but they will reveal our marks in july after final results.so it has become a very problematic thing..we dont know our exact performance in optional subject..Should we change optional or stick to it is a moot question..so i propose two solution for this.
1.Either we demand that Upsc declares mains marks of those who failed in mains before upsc notification for pre exam.but it has a problem..upsc being very secretive body, its not feasible to expect such a generosity from upsc.
2.we demand UPSC not to ask for optional subject to be filled in pre form itself..rather they should ask for optionals in mains form like in older days or they can ask for optional subject in pre form but give us option to change it in mains form. .and trust me, its very much feasible and upsc can easily relent this..

So keep in mind both these facts, i have thought of starting a letter campaign whereby we will request upsc to not ask about optional subject in pre form but in mains form..so plz give ur suggestion.

  • Fill two different forms with different mail ids and optional subject.UPSC is more than willing to get some extra money. It is not going to scrutinize your details in preliminary.

better call this as " indian type solution to an indian type problem "
  • Friends we should not insist on upsc to disclose our marks before notification bcoz they wont do..rather we should focus on insisting that they ask for optional info in mains form, not in pre form..

After pre result is out there is no time left to switch over to a new optional.

But sir we would come to know about our marks in june after final results..so we can easily switch over..
