guys i want to shift from socio to anthro...pls tell me how much time will it take to master the syllabus....m i late too start it or i can do it?moreover is it a scoring optinal...anthr+non anthro guys pls help.
Anthro performance was bad this year on the basis of people were left out from mains this year this shows anthro is not a safe subject and it can harm you if you are not a standard player in anthro. :-w
Normally Anthro gets you more marks with less preparation time this was the case when two optionals time, however recent trend shows single option anthropology requires some standard answers to be written to satisfy examiner and which turn requires some good amount of preparation time and hardwork to go in. one more case is anthro paper was easy this year comparitively last year, but shocked most anthro mains cadidates as it left seniors and juniors out at the mains level itself. any changing of optional should only be done, if you have right material and proper guidance at ur doorstep and it will be a gateway to interview or else it will never make you to final list as every mark counts from optional. now the ball is in your court to decide whether to change or not to change but lastly this trend can change when ever the examinor feels anthro need to be pushed at pan indian level as happened in 2010 and 2011 as it bagged more than 10 ranks in top 100 ranks but 2013 it had only one rank in top 100.
In addition as i have written somewhere...this optional is simple but decieving in the sense that you will be hardpressed for good updated content for many portions of syllabus even after customised google search and searching book shops of dELHI
