  • My roomie has one. He has 5.47/10 CGPA during his engineering, yet had a handsome salary. Anyways, what does he put as his percentage - 54 or 55? And would it matter?
  • Its mentioned in the instructions page(point 15) that they are taking the info purely for statisical purposes,he can round it off i guess..read the instruction for more clarity!
  • Hi...
while applying for prelims should we give our optional choice???? has anyone already applied?? :) :)
  • yup it can be filled as 55 after round off.
  • @PoliceWala : He should be putting it as 55 right... but graduation marks doesn't actually matter in civil service exam (hopefully)... :)

    one doubt ..
Uploaded signature in blue ball point pen as was doing till last year..(the same which was uploaded last year)
    should fill the form again??

    From UPSC FAQ:

Can an applicant do multiple registrations for the same examination? What will be status of my candidature if I have successfully submitted more than one application?

The acceptance/ rejection of an application(s) is not related to the number of applications submitted by an applicant. It is also not related to the mode of submission of the application i.e. whether offline/online/ both modes adopted by an applicant. In case, more than one application has been submitted by an applicant, irrespective of the mode of submission, the commission entertains only one application and the remaining applications are amalgamated. The acceptance/ rejection of this one application depends upon the particulars filled up by an applicant vis-vis the eligibility criteria.

It seems u can apply once more with black ink signature....just to stay out of danger of being rejected bcz of the blue ink sign....but it will require new Reg ID and Fee.
  • @snee_rijo
thanx but when i was going through the sample signature accepted by UPSC(While filling the form) they have shown it in both black and blue ball point pen ,thats why i did not bother to check also and uploaded the same.
  • Thanks all for the response!
  • whats the last date for filling the applications?....i am stuck up between choosing geography(vast but quite objective) or sociology(seems easy but very subjective in nature) ?...what should i choose guys?
