@misfit_doc9211 Haha… I agree…it is the epitome of excess and environmental waste but ‘The Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile’ in partnership with the Global Fuel Economy Initiative (GFEI) is promoting the 50by50 campaign for a more sustainable approach. Maybe someday in near future, it will turn into a total green car race. But it’s like the ethanol blending programme, has associated risks attached (corn shortages and methane gas). Innovation or end of racing…fuel supplies will tell!
yes, people may have arguments for or against it but there isn't an iota of doubt that this sporting extravaganza has somehow kept the wheel of innovation moving in automobile sector....i recently came across a study where automobile sector has performed the worst in breakthrough inventions ...apart from that F1 gives you a fair amount of adrenaline shot in an increasingly boring world
