why first choice IPS? is the only question u have to answer well. Last time Mr. A. P. Singh (IPS) asked me same but I gave too techy answer for him to understand and 143

Cud u plz elaborate on ques u faced related 2 u r choice of prederred service..
please suggest some reference readings for justifying , IPS as the first choice.
What should be the basic approach to handle such questions.
1. Why IPS as the 1st preference. 2. What changes (structural changes) need in Indian Police, to make it at par with international Law enforcement agencies. 3. What is you don't get IPS.
He asked: 1). Why IPS? I answered because IPS is most challenging service since an IPS faces and fights against anti social elements which a common man can't, and involves threat to life, being inherent part of service and blah blah.....
2). What will you do as an IPS? I talked about 3G surveillance cameras to act as eyes of police which will improve evidence gathering, and way (like a website) for public to inform about crimes without disclosing their identity.
I think answer should come straight from your heart with confident voice not what coaching institutes make us rote. Even if Singham movie inspired you, just say it.
