His score in maths alone is more than my total in 4 optional papers :). He could have just walked into the services by appearing in forestry and managing 25-30 marks in it.

I don't think Maths paper 1 was as easy as people made it out to be, just after mains. What do you think? I think it was on par with last year's paper 1.
  • It was an intense paper yaar..getting questions correct esp integration waala 10 number was not easy..every answer has to b correct till last for us. So P1 was of good level.
  • Seeing the high marks in maths, can we conclude that the moderation theory proposed for Civil Services Mains marks, i.e. to moderate optionals in respect of each other is wrong ??

Yes. Even that 10 marker from previous year on rolle's theorem was tricky. Then I thought some questions in statics part were also not easy.

Whether there is a new method or not, I don't know. What I know, is that you can never trust "insiders". Last year, many claimed to be insiders and then after results came out, they claimed to be just having fun, taking
the rest of us for a ride.

OK I solved them but they slightly tensed me for 5 mins..holding nerves was so imp in P1.
