@geo optional guys... how u all guys predict the expected marks this year. have u all look at the below link answers given by one IIT guy...are u all accept that his answers will fetch him the expected marks.
Why cutoff may fall Essay marks are not in our hand.I saw mango dolly comment in last years thread in which estimated that he would get 50 marks but ended up getting 125 marks Ppl are assuming that they would get 90+ in gs-4 which may not be the case. Many are obsessed with 563 and are therefore estimating marks in such a way that they are able to cross that magical figure. We don't know how gs3 would be checked,the paper was similar to gs2 so if checking is also done on same line then many would low marks. Last,not everyone is going to get 200+ score in optional irrespective of the choice their optional subject. Purely my views. Luck plays a major role esp as far as essay and ethics are concerned.

Essay - 120 GS = 70+50+80+100 = 300 Sociology = 120+110 = 230 Total = 650 .. At least I will top in the expectations.... haha!
