Strategy (Study Plan) for 2014 Attempt

Hi All,

I need advice for study plan/strategy to appear for CSE in 2014. Below is my information so that it can be helpful for you to advice:

I am working professional and can dedicate around 4 hours daily for studies (apart form newspaper/magazine reading). My optionals are Pub. Ad and Sociology. I have little clarity of GS basics as i had given an unsuccessful attempt for prelims 2012 (though it was a great experience and learning for me ).

If I start preparation from now, could you please let me know how should I approach for 2014 attempt so that I can pass the exam with flying colors?

For 2014, I would say, relax for now. Just do the newpapers well and maintain your enthu. Read a couple of books like Imagining India from Flipkart.com, which will be very helpful for Mains/ Pub Ad /Interview / Overall thought process

Hello. I am attempting the 2014 Exam. Already given an attempt in 2012 and did not give any in 2013. In this thread we can discuss preparation strategies, time table for the next one year and general progress in our study life.

April 30 2014 is my deadline to finish all the Mains Portion. I am going to finish whatever is possible in Mains by April 2014. More than 3/4 th of Prelims will be covered while studying for Mains. Extra revisions will be done from April to August for both Prelims and Mains.
August month my plan is to finish Indian History Grover and Grover book and World History Norman Lowe. By finish I mean, read the chapters and take notes.

Any one wants to give me company?
