can someone give quick points for failure of Alternative dispute settlement system in our country ?

Nahi ji. Lok Adalats etc.
Lok Adalats, Nyay pnachayats ,CAT,SAT,JAT,and the ones under art. 323-b and yes, Sharia courts too. Khaps, well, they cause disputes rather than settling
Bhai article 323 b deals with tribunals they don't use artibitration.mediation and consensus to resolve disputes.correct me if not wrong.I only adr mechanism in india are lokaadalats under nalsa act.

-Tribunals have not unburdened judiciary because most of their cases are appealed in HC/SC. Also, although there is no fee or nominal fee yet since they deal with complex cases-the expert advice is needed (of an advocate ) which is high. - Lokadalats, many a times consensus not reached,cases go back to courts. -Sharia courts : sometimes the opinion is too harsh and impinges on FR.

There is Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 in india.. disputed parties can ask for appointment of an arbitrator provided they have previously added this provision in their agreements.whih usually doest happen in india due to -lack of knowledge about this act among masses -people try to avoid paper work thinking of it as wastage of money as well as procedure which is time consuming.
Other ADR is lok adalat..nothing else is considered adr
