I am living in the area about 5 mins walk from Shadipur metro. Area is good but avoid Baljit Nagar at all costs. Area not good for students according to Patel Nagar Inspector. Also make sure that there is no wedding cum party centre nearby or a worship place for bhajan kirtan.
I live near to West Patel Nagar Bus Stop about 7 mints walk. I found this area very cheap, silent. This is just 1 stop away from Karol bagh. (West Patel Nagar - Rajendra Place - Karolbagh).. Even the transport: Bus 5/- Metro 8/- No Idea about AUTO/Taxi.. Lol. :-j
How is West Patel Nagar for UPSC preparation? Is it peacful?
When I was working only I have plotted for this area itself from Google map. My choice was Shadipur, Patel Nagar, Rajendra Place. After I resigned to my Job, On my arrival first time to Delhi, from Railway station directly came to West Patel Nagar, got the room in 30mints. I have no friends, no contacts in Delhi. NO ONE.
Though I'm succeeded. All we need is proper and careful planning well in advance. Of course money.
This place is just awesome for those who are on low budget. Complete peaceful so far. \m/
Residing in West Patel Nagar for the last 4 months. Doing complete self study. Planning to join for Test Series Only
