Discussion Group on Topics @ Chennai

edited September 2014 in Miscellaneous

Hello All Chennaities!

Just wanted to see if any one is interested to join a study group on weekly basis to discuss on the topics. I and my friend started doing this for last 2 weeks and found that the discussions are much useful in terms of analyzing the subject and collecting the points and mains answer. Also helps with multiple perspective. We made out a plan to discuss the topics that we read as per the plan from syllabus including current affairs. Looking forward to see if anyone else who is seriously interested to contribute and benefit. Pub Ad is our optional. Please inbox me if you wish!

  • Here is my 1st question.
Tribal integration is a complex process. In the context of above statement analyse Nehru's tribal policy..?
  • Here are few points I could frame ...I request u frnds to contribute..

    1.tribals live in isolation.
2.their way of living disturbed during colonial times.
3.domination by landlords, moneylenders, immigrant peasants lead to loss of land,
    Debt cycle.
4.restricted access to forest and its products , colonial forest laws, tribal handicrafts exploited.
In such a scenario tribal integration was complex .
5.Nehru preferred a middle path which was neither isolation nor domination by external forces .
6.His idea was to integrate tribal into indian nation and make them feek part of the nation at the same time living their own way of life.
7.He abolished restrictive forest laws, ensured land rights, tribal markets to sell their produce, preserving tribal culture.
8.constitutional safeguards including tribal autonomy, governors role in ensuring proper administration, tribal upliftment through reservations in educational institutions, employment oppurtunities.

    1) she looted from someone, gave to someone ,who are now supporting her. She got some achievements in social justice field too albeit few chosen ones. thats y some support is there.
    2) she is a political scapegoat by main masterminds.

Relatively again I emphasize relatively a better leader in terms of social justice , law and order, women upliftment...there r flipsides but can be a better among others..moreover legacy of dr.m.g.r is a major factor.
