How to handle Answer Writing

I am thinking of following insight answer - writing practice . But it is way too much!

- current affairs -> 7-8 ques
- GS -> 3-4
- S&T -> 3-4
- Ethics -> 2-3
- Optional -> 2-3

This is their daily quota! I am totally at sea.
How much time are you guys thinking of devoting to answer writing every day ? because the syllabus is in itself so very vast. Need to know what to write before we get down to writing . How is everyone planning to manage both?

@geeta @MD47 Are you guys positive of writing Mains? I'm finding it a bit hard to focus on my Mains preparations given the atmosphere of uncertainty before the results come out. How are you managing to focus? I think I should be able to clear Prelims but abundant speculations on this year's cut off marks are distracting!

Same story here as well. Totally appreciate their effort, but I just wish they would stop giving out so many questions per day! (

What I've started doing is picking out a few (based on relevance/importance) that I'll actually write down, some more that i'll just make a mental construct for (like in ethics) and not actually write, a few for which i'll just read through other people's answers, and some that I don't feel are relevant enough/too topical I skip. I know this isn't writing practice exactly but what else to do?!

Anyone with a better strategy?

^^^^ I tried glancing thru the answers I don't write. its so damn time consuming. plus I don't think it will help bec by exam time you won't retain anything.

@thorin don't even go there. I'm just going with the motto "in god we trust"

pick good 5 questions in all sections and write..by far the best strategy due to paucity of time. It would help big time and give immense confidence

Don't write insight if you have any test - series lined up. Do only questions on current events as they will help in remembering few fodder points.
