  • Progressive step , it was also in arc report to reduce the age limit to 26 .

It may lead to some protests , but modi being a tough administrator will never bow down to them
  • I have read the same and shocked. Wth!
  • Modi ki faltu nautanki. Oh god plz help. Reduce attempt why age,
  • It will lead to heavy protest in my view . Why generals have to face all kind of shit to fullest ? Muje ban na hai ips. I am preparing hard.
  • With increasing attempts and age limit this exam was becoming more like a social service scheme rather than exam for recruitment of quality officers .

It was also against interest of freshers as every year a lot of older guys are occupying seats that should be for those who are recently passed-out , and not for those who are already in some jobs .

Also the age and attempt limit should be same for all categories , otherwise it would create a feeling of bitterness among general category aspirants.
  • I dont think they can do this immediately... they will have to give some time to the aspirants who are already above this age. They will also have to account for the fact that they have already notified that 32yrs and 4 attempts and people may have left their jobs or not taken up jobs for preparations. Court may shoot down any immediate changes without prior intimation.
  • Very easy to justify the reduction in age and attempts. But the harsh reality of this exam is... it needs something more than (Some of us cal it 'luck') hard work.

Also, What about Medical Science students who complete their degree by 23!

Well, I'm 23 years old and I've one AIS with me. But I can't support this. Reducing age limit will affect dreams of many, especially rural students who gets some idea about this exam only by their mid 20s.

It was in arc report which must have recommended this while taking all this into account . As the commission had some of the most experienced civil servants , govt ministers , public representatives in it.

Also , the goal of the govt should not be appeasement of few hundred persons by giving them extra attempts to make them ias . We are nation of 125 crore people and govt should concentrate on providing good governance to them rather than appeasement of few hundred people .

Also 26 year is more than enough , even if a medical student graduates in 23 , is 3 attempts not sufficient , how much attempt does one want to crack this exam .

Anyways , even in present scheme majority crack in first , second or third attempt .
