Bhai/Behan don't worry..cutoff will be down this year…ye haal sabhi ka hai
  • Last year “The last man” in the Que got 60% (241) and the first man got 75% (300+). The prediction was based on 2012 score i.e., 209 and no-one was willing to move up by 8% and was predicting 225-230, because It is really unrealistic to move 8% up in a qualifying exam.
This year if I consider 60% (231) which the last man in the Que will get, then I am unable to find the first person having 75% (290). We all agree this paper was bit tough where no DM and English comp (Easy walk) in P2 and Factual and totally of the track of P1 style derailed many.
But Those (organisation/Insti/Individual) who predicts the cutoff are stubborn and not willing to come down by 10% with the same logic it would be unrealistic to go so much down. Maybe they are right, maybe they are wrong but one thing is clear
“Last year they were SELLING the DREAM this year they are KILLING the DREAM.
“I personally urge to everyone, go for ethics paper. If you are not going to clear it will give you peace and if you clear it will work as bonus for paper-4″ (views are personal)

Let's also not forget that everyone who's putting their marks here is a repeater, and is therefore expected to do relatively better than they did last year. Effective average drop in marks for an equivalent performance will be higher. My point is, if the people here gave LAST year's prelims with THIS year's preparedness, they would have done even better. And so the actual average difference in performance would be not to the tune of 30 marks, but even more.
    Something to think about?

    Good point. Completely agree.
