  • One observation in UPSC Admit card:
You will not be admitted to the examination if you report 10 minutes after the scheduled commencement of the examination.

I think some learned colleagues and/or veterans have this time limit as 30 minutes in mind... please take not of it, it is 10 minutes only.

If somebody is planning to be late, don't be too late!!

  • The committee recommendations are not binding but repeatedly govt. said further decision on basis of committee report and thats the reason govt. did not make any announcement to await decision of expert body. Govt. and parliament usually go by recommendations of expert body as they themselves cannot determine whether any discrimination is there due to lack of expertise and even when committee says no basis for protestors allegations, based on what they demand for change? Even in newspapers editorials point out to facts contrary to their allegations
If actually report is in favour of status quo, govt. will not change anything. In that scenario, i doubt about postponement. As govt. has got adequate numbers, it cannot be armtwisted unlike a coalition govt. where it need to bend. However if BJP ventures into political calculations keeping nearby elections in mind at max it might postpone exam. Nothing more because govt. cannot go against report of committee
    Are the recommendations binding? :-w
All the expert advice doesn't matter in front of political gains. It has already the backing across the parliament. Also their were earlier reports (Nigivekar committee ) which had recommended against CSAT. So now whats left is politics .
@abhijat : just curious to know . what is your educational background?
