talked to mr. lalit(lok nayak) and rao vineet kumar (dopt)....service allocation to be after all medicals are complete....somewhere around 2nd week of august..
ok so i had my medial completion test yesterday at Lok Nayak..some pointers on procedure..
1. Sign the attendance sheet. 2. Mr Lalit has a list in which name and issue of candidate is written, he will tell u ur issue/issues and ask u to fill up a card in which u need to paste ur photo and sign. 3. Mostly candidates having similar issues are called on one day..so u'll have other candidates with similar issues.. 4. Next, you will have to get ur checkup done at various departments.. 5. After everything is done, u will be told/ or ask what is ur final status..(clear for all/technical/non technical)..u may be asked to come again..
Note: Generally the whole procedure will get over by around 3pm..remember to call mr. Lalit(9810816724) beforehand to know ur issue..u may not need to be fasting, if ur blood test was fine..dont mention ur service to the doctor, unless he pokes u..some doctors are just plain frustated..they will see if u are not getting a technical service(IPS), they might unnecessary give u fitness for only non-technical service..whether u cleared the test or not..they dont care..
Get ur medical done as soon as possible as DOPT is asking for daily reports..they want to finish initial service allocation by next week..
Thanks @rigaa about the advice on not mentioning the preference to docs. I have not kept technical services high on preference and will get other (non-technical) services before that, but I still will not wish to be labeled 'unfit' just because someone tried to finish the check-up soon and be done with me. If I am fit, I'd like to see that on my medical sheet, irrespective of what service I get.
Anyone who had their medical on 31st..could confirm if the medicals are over?..i remember lok Nayak calling on later dates for various reasons. Also has dopt finalised the final list for appeal cases..it must have been sent on email..as was the last one.
