How to Solve 'Number Series' Problems? How To Recognise Type Of Series?

Pls throw some light upon how to recognise the type of number series,taking time constrain into consideration.

    It's all about practice. Because sometimes if you try to solve it,then it will be time consuming. So if you can solve it within a minute or 40-50 sec then solve it otherwise better to skip it. some general patterns which i observe are arithmetic progression, square cube, multiplication and addition , power series etc.

    We can obtain middle number by adding square of another two numbers....so it will be 7 for 3rd row ...as 27+343=370

    2- for alphabet ....difference between first two alphabet+1 i.e. for first row, diff between P and U is 4. so 4+1=5. so E will come on fifth place in alphabet...similarly we can get S for third row.

    Your approach is correct but your calculations are not.
    Firstly its cubes to be added not squares.
    About alphabet, its jus the addition of 1st and 2nd column to get third, not any more additions. So it should be T7
