Importance of peer group

I do not have any friend who is preparing for civils. i had coaching for prelims , cleared it but only got 502 in mains.
Since then i am preparing on my own in my home. Does lack of fellow aspirants hurt one's chances ?

Same here earned 487 while working full time..all friends settled and doing good..I am holding one of the most sought after posts in a PSB..hence being bogged down by friends for switching or even thinking of so, to civils..can't even share with my colleagues or subordinates..they look upto me..

  • Peer group is not a necessity .Its good if you have like-minded individuals preparing alongside you but it doesnt gurantee your success nor does it absence means that you are doomed .

I too dont have anyone near me preparing for civils .I have an online group of people but I have come to know of late that in the end its you an only you who has the ability inherent in yourself to clear this exam and ,to have such people around you or not , is very trivial a reason as per me for you to doubt your abilties .Just analyse what or where did you went wrong in mains and rectify those mistakes next time .

If you can clear pre without any such group then I am pretty sure you are in no need of such a group for mains too.
