Dear Sir, I have been ardent follower of this forum and one of the reasons is you. My opinion hardly matters here - nor my story - but on your question I would still stay - I am in a full-time job - prepared only after prelims for 6 months - 2-3 hours a day. I have a lower score than you in Mains - 608. But, the board helped me get 193 in interview leading to 801 (rank 35X)
Now if you again try - you cannot be sure of the board or your marks in Mains. This exam from my limited experience is a gamble. Please do try again but don't devote yourself to it coz one cannot devote oneself to a gamble. Keep doing what you are doing and take the exam in the stride. I can just hope you do well and get what you want. But, even if you don't, I will still remember you.
