Can someone with philosophy optional help? What is Theory of essence? Role of intentionality? What is transcendental ego? What is meant by philosophy as a rigorous science? It is all too unsynthesised in my head. Can't make any proper sense out of them. Any help? Thx.
Role of intentionality: Acc to this principle , consciousness is a direction which is totally subject oriented and depends entirely on the subject. Consciousness never remains empty neither it is found subjectless. In the light of this principle, Husserl gets a base to search the inherent subject by doing the analysis of consciousness .Also with the help this principle , Husserl, was able to end the antagonism between the subjective and objective form of consciousness , as propounded by the Immanuel Kant.
Transcendental Ego: Husserl accepted that , his phenomenological process ultimately leads to a Transcendental Subjectivity . Basically the metaphysical dimensions which gets bulged in the Husserl’s phenomenology, is related to this Transcendental Subjectivity. And then Husserl gives and Idealistic description to this subjectivity. Acc to him, if we try to understand this subjectivity in its tangible form, then we can say that , this tangible form is nothing but the sole representation of its self consciousness. And from this point of view, the psychological Ego sense is also an inherent part of it .
Theory of essence: The motive of Edmund Husserl was to establish the philosophy in such an independent format, by which it could become the final foundation of all the knowledge. His target was, on the basis of philosophical analysis of consciousness , he wanted to derive such Essence , which could prove to be the base of all the knowledge.
