  • Since we are debating about what will go through our minds, let me ask you all this question.

When results do come, what will you do to search your name in PDF? I know there was this question already on some other thread. But this being final result and all, the position of finding your name is of utmost importance. In prelims/mains, it was just knowing whether you qualified or not. So:

    1. Search from the top with the roll number/name.
    2. Search the PDF with Ctrl+F.
    3. Search PDF with Ctrl+F and see whether name is there. And then go from top for that-knowing-your-rank-by-order experience?
    4. None of the above??

i will do ctrl+F bcoz once i would see the results pdf i won't have the patience to wait and search
  • Bhaiyo kya interview dene ke bad sabko feel aata ki unka selection hona h ya nai.

@Heyram Bro i have always done control F my roll number and even on June 13th I'll do the same.. By using any other methods one can't ultimately hide from reality.. :)

@rookie Reality will hit us ultimately. It doesn't mean one must not enjoy it right?? ;-)

Ctrl+F is just too quick a pleasure. The joy of seeing result on notice board is much better than getting it by mail right? Just like that doing a search through Ctrl+F will rob us of our small pleasures.

Personally, I will check for the first 100 or so and then check with CTRL+F. If it exists then will proceed to check rank wise. In Mains result I did direct Ctrl+F cos the rank doesn't matter.
  • Even thinking of 13th june.. results in "butterflies in stomach"... I think first target is to be in the list.. and then the rank would come on 2nd place.
  • I have heard that the result wont come out before 20th june, not sure about the credibility of the info though.... :(

    26 days to go! 3:-O

    :))
  • Given that this will be the first time that results will contain names, I do plan to go down the list rather than a a quick Ctrl-F search. Hopefully wouldn't have to travel too far down the list :)
  • hi all,

i wanted to know what are the average % of marks that are awarded in case of optional, essay and interview, based on previous results. i gauge that in case of GS it is 40%.

kindly answer seniors. this thread has made me desirous of calculating my expected marks.
    thanks
I think marks awarded depends upon how well u have written an answer! there's no average marks as such imo which they give irrespective of the quality of an answer

that is quite true. but what i wanted to know was that if the answers are of average quality, wat is the % of marks awarded. i have seen that in this thread, ppl have calculated their marks in GS as 40% of the total attempt. i just wanted to know what would this % be for in case of optional, essay and interview for average performance, so that i can calculate my marks on the basis of the quality of individual answers.
    thanks
