Passenger may board and leave en route, but the train has to reach the last station (mains exam-hall) to rest – penultimately.

There are some good platforms/websites for answer writing, so why this initiative. Let’s consider this –
INSIGHTS vs. our Mains train

Topic – approach of the govt. to integrate tribals

Participant A - developmental changes to be adopted by the tribals themselves
Participant B - tribal rights to be protected by statute book
Participant C - encouragement to the tribal language
Participant D - for administration, reliance should be on the tribals(autonomous district/council etc.) and no over-administration
Participant E - continuance of tribal social and cultural institutions
Participant F - governor to have extra power to amend central laws to suit tribal customs
Participant G - tribal officer to send reports to the presidents and financial assistance by Finance Commission/FYP

Here we will post just the trigger(related keyword/fact/statement/explanation/data) to the topic
So, our approach is to prepare the maximum with fastest possible speed using triggers. I will start each topic for the given day from scratch. If you have anything relevant - any reference, link, a single trigger or even a word to contribute, please do so. you are welcome.

friends, unlike the prelims train, that I can run alone, this train would require you active participation.

NB – we will be sharing our thoughts and knowledge and not the language per se. so, friends with medium other than English are cordially invited.

NIOS notes are really good. Plus, last year there was a Chronicle magazine on Indian Culture around this time only that was very good for prelims (as it contained factual data). NIOS notes give the most clarity, but there are certain topics that are missing (e.g. Indian Dances, etc) which have to be covered from somewhere else (e.g. Chronicle magazine). I checked ORN market yesterday (at KBC Nano), but this time culture magazine hasn't come out yet. Instead there is some other culture + something magazine in market that isn't upto the mark.

I didn't read other stuff that you mentioned, so cannot comment on them. But I think AL Basham would be too much!

I personally studied only Chronicle for prelims and only NIOS for mains. So, cannot comment about other sources.

NIOS material was useful for 2 marks questions. But since UPSC is asking more 10 markers which require a deeper understanding Spectrum's Culture book would be more useful and should be sufficient.
