i have recently appeared in UPSC interview for ESE-13...let me share some questions asked in interview (though it was purely technical,but it will give you guys some idea) 1. What is the role of electronics engineer in design industry? 2. Why Encoding/Decoding is done? (for secure communication) 3. Why digital communication is preferred over analog? (better noise immunity) 4. what is deterministic and random signals? 5.What is GSM/CDMA? 6. which technology is used in CDMA? (spread spetrum) 7. Which is more secure? (CDMA) 8. technology used in GSM? (FDMA+TDMA) 9. what is GPS? Indian GPS satellites? 10. Weather monitoring (they can ask ques related to cyclones also as they were very frequent last year)
Btw if you guys really want a question bank of UPSC questions, I would suggest you to visit photostat shop near made easy in Lado sarai (near Saket metro) and ask for interview guidance book...they will charge you around 150 i think....

How has GoI helped the progress of electronics industry in India? 4. Where does India stand with respect to other countries in electronics industry? 5. Can India became a manufacturing hub for mobile phones? 6. What do you know about Nat'l Policy for Electronics? (also the Nat'l Policies for Telecommunications and IT) 7. What is Mobile Number Portability? 8. What are its benefits? 9. What is the stand of the industry on MNP? 10. How are service providers going to profit with high cost of spectrum?
there is one more important topic that you can study which is "Cloud computing/concept of cloud" Also, about GI Cloud (Project Meghraj)...very important for those who have work experience in IT. PFA doc on above
