Crash course for Political science optional

Can anyone suggest good coaching for political science optional for this year mains?
SR's and Piyush Chaubey's classes are very crowded and there is no personalised attention actually.
Just saw Chrome IAS's demo lecture on political science by Dr. Joshi on youtube and found her way of teaching very precise and exam oriented. She is also having a demo lecture on June 5th I guess.

Can anyone suggest whether Chrome IAS would be a good option or not?

Comments

  • In the demo video where she covered liberalism, i find it crisp and to the point. But, she totally left social liberalism and to my limited knowledge leaving the hot most topic is not acceptable. Though she might covered it in class!
  • I think Social liberalism is synonymous to Modern liberalism which she has discussed in the demo lecture. As she has discussed, Modern liberalism or Social Liberalism is based on twin principle of Social Democracy. I think Welfare State could also be it's variant.

I guess she will discuss it more elaborately in the class. Will be attending her demo lecture on June 5th. Lets c.

Don't go by the big names alone. I have been to GS Score for political science and i didn't find it very relevant. SR's classes are too crowded for getting any personalised attention. So try to find a good mentor whose classes are not crowded and who can give you time to answer your specific queries !

For political science you can try Chrome Ias. There is a demo lecture on June 9th. You can try that and see for yourself. Faculty i heard is ex-civil servant there. Also since batch would not be large, you can get personalized attention.
  • Just saw the Chrome web link...But demo is on 8th June by Dr Joshi...Is it the same demo you are talking about.

Maybe SR>Piyush Chaubey> other, but I guess personalised attention is most important for improving our shortcomings. I have always gained the most from teacher who can give me time. We can anyway get SR's notes from the market but she won't clear your individual doubts. She is too commercialised for this. I found Chrome political science faculty better than others in this aspect. Also in demo classes i found her approach to be very exam oriented.
