Need Career Advise

Hi all..
I am Raji. I have completed my UG in Chennai. I am in confusion that whether I do prepare for UPSC Examination or I do PG in the reputed colleges.

  • It depends upon the time you can spend.

    Upsc:
For sure will take 2-3 years minimum and there is no gaurantee for your success.
After 3years if you want to shift from upsc to other career path, its bit difficult.
Lot of mental trauma involved here, if you are not consistent and not patient then dont come to upsc.

If you have real zeal and willing to take risk the reward after your success is heavy, But do remember success is not guaranteed here.

    PG:
    Easy to get
    No risk and time consuming
If you are able to good job then life is colorful.
More over college life is always good.
Can prepare upsc after wards also.

But if you think upsc is life ambition, its worth giving a try without any expectations

Wish you all success and happiness

    Hi.

UPSC preparation takes at least a year or two for most of us. It's always better to plan it in a long term approach.

Please enroll yourself for PG course and start preparing for UPSC along with it.

After your PG, you can join a job (because you would have already prepared for UPSC) and give your 1st attempt at UPSC.

If it works out well and good, or else quit your job after 2 attempts and give the 3rd attempt being at home/in Delhi.

This is probably the most safest and best way to go ahead in my humble opinion. Chances are that you will crack the exam in 1st or 2nd attempt itself, if you thoroughly prepare for the civil services during your PG course.

    All the best. :)
