Have opposition's skill to make people aware of ' real issues ' been diminishing?
Has the struggle to grab power degraded to such low levels?
Is 'public service' now only a fancy phrase?
Do we want to head towards materialism at any cost ?
Have our great saints/philosophers/leaders' teachings become redundant?
Is hypocrisy a new norm?
1- Most people are really not interested in real issues.
2- Populism attracts everybody, so does news related to abuse of power,etc.
3- Our public is both smart and gullible. No one can predict when it will vote smartly and when illogically.
4- The stakes involved in elections are too high, parties/candidates try every method to capture power.
5- The past few years have seen 'corporatisation' of politics, where winning elections is the only agenda and one or two leader 'sell' their party to the public.
6- Ethics is a far cry from reality. Capitalism ans materialism has taken over ethics and most are interested in material gains.
7- Lack of critical thinking. Our education system rewards obedience and not asking questions. Most of us had accepted things on face value and never asked questions.
8- Unless public ask tough questions, like how parties are able manage such huge funds, things would go on.
At last, I believe in Lincoln that "You can fool all people some of the time and some people all the time but not all people, all time".

Where is opposition at first place. Only congress is consistent but largely ineffective opposition. All others are busy to avoid fate like lalu. And congress hasnt come out with any innovative and novel ideas to deal with BJP.Its politics is largely retaliatory. For kovind it had meira kumar for hindutva it has soft-Hinduism. Some oppertunities do came its way like raffale and cbi crisis.But then raffale doesn't connect to masses and cbi was never a pious institutions. Also it do participated in issues of farm crisis and rural distress ,unemployment but all such opposition were not intiated by inc were momentary and never went beyond few photoshops of raga.In essence inc is power hungry and trying to grab all the issues coming rather being thrown by ruling class to its way but its opposition is neither credible nor consistent enough to draw the masses.

Didnt get actually nothing coming to my head except for public service commissions.

Yes With 27.5% of population multidimmensionally poor and unemployment inquality youth bulge all time high like inflated stomach of middle aged uncle ,its high time we do.
Materialism has been a rather successful philosophy it atleast demands one to endeavour for excellence and earn a better living for oneself.It doest want you to wait for state or government to give you free alms neither to accept the status-quo for generations.Being ambitious youth informed about comperative development of India and world and seeing chaiwala becoming pm we shall be materialistic only.

Have you heard about Facebook supported by millions of its users for its initiative which went against that 'netneutrality' principle?
most of them who supported FB were very much literate but poorly informed techies !
