Recently i attained IFoS interview and the questions were asked mostly on my hobby (playing chess) and civil engineering (my background).
I assume people with same background (civil engg) must be here on forum so i am initiating this thread for the purpose of posting interview questions related to civil Engineering.
The question which was asked from me
1.what is geodetic surveying and where is it used?
2.why gypsum is added to clinker in making cement?
3.why is curing necessary?
4,what is difference between design of urban and rural sewage system?
5.what is green building?
There were some other's which i don't remember right now.Other's with same background or same hobby please share your experience.

#No they did not go crazy about design or tests but wanted to check the fundamentals only.
#Most of the civil engg questions were asked by the chairman who is not civil engg by any means other's did not ask much which forced me to believe that there were no expert of civil engg there.
