Why only 848 allocation when seats are 1058

1 Can someone enlighten me why 200 less seats in final allocation ?

2 Also what is the process that Upsc/dopt will follow now to fill remaining ?

3 will it be done on basis of cse2017 results and given to waiting list candidate or will they be transferred to next year ?

If it's transferred to next year ...what's the rationale for something like that when eligible candidates are getting cadre lower in preference and others getting nothing.

  • Official cadre allocation
  • seems OBC creamy layer issue yet again..!!
  • But nothing is mentioned ...I hope they clarify...
  • As you may have noticed a lot of rankers are missing in the list, most probably on medical grounds who would be later cleared(they are given some time to remedy the issue at hand) and those individuals will be alloted services. So the actual allocation would be around 950 to 960 atleast,

But how many services have medical requirements IPS maybe irts ? So seems improbable that so many of those be medically unfit.
Even if they are or if it's due to OBC or something else...it shud be clearly mentioned against said rank of a person .. medical grounds/OBC creamy/court case or whatever.
Else govt is not taking recruitment it declared it would...that's a big slap n wtf moment for anyone preparing taking one year seats to next when enough eligible available this year.
  • Creamy layer wala issue fir hua h kuch k sath is bar...

One of my friend belong to general category also missing from list
Then how it's matter of creamy layer ?
  • Do the candidates on this list have to send confirmation? And if some choose not to attend based on service allocation, what happens then?

There can be few reasons for that

    A. Medical issue
    B. Already in service and have only opted for few higher service but didn't improved his rank, hence have'nt been allocated anything

No you don't have to the allocate on ur preference given in DAF

That said if let's say you are already in IRS and have opted only for IAs but u didn't improve you're rank than in that intially u won't be allocated anything , at least that's what I know
