Thank you sir. I was also in search of a good pen. Last year, I used v7.. But It left impression of the ink on the other side of the mais answer sheet. I was worried and was looking to switch over to a new pen for this year.

Isn't the nib like crazily thin? Doesn't that make one even slower?
The nib is definitely not crazy thin. Infact it is a little too thick for my taste. V7 feels like a paintbrush for me, V5 is ideal for most. I like thin nibs so cheap ball pens are my game.

I use the classmate octane (cheap ball pen) right now. But I'm getting slower with it. Someone asked me to try the air ball. What cheap pen are you using?
Sir, I did my coaching and appeared for prelims on this 3rd June. I didn't clear pre. I am starting my preparation again for next year with whatever knowledge base I have from last 1year. Sir, I want to ask you that should I join test series for optional ( PSIR) and/or GS ? or should I prepare till November and then join some gs test series? Also what should be approach for optional from now?

You can try V7.
I found the same experience with V5. And I really like V7 that way.

I'm using rorito i skate and V5. For essay I use V5 since I get slowed down by it but my handwriting is great when I use it (and we have the luxury of time in essays).
Otherwise it's i skate for optional and gs, shit handwriting but I can write fast. I use classmate octane while making notes.
I guess you'll really like V5 and V7, give both a try. For people with big handwriting V7 is ideal. For normal handwriting V5. I have a relatively small handwriting so ball pens.
