Who evaluates copies (GS and Essay both) at GS Score?

edited July 2018 in Test Series
Can anyone who has attempted tests at GS Score share his/her experiences of the quality of feedback and evaluation of the answer sheets?

Comments

  • They are good..not super but decent enough..I only appeared for Pol science and GS module...not ethcis or essay.. checking is decent and on time...but can't say it is better than others or not..since I only wrote their series..
  • @Rawrdino
    Do you have any idea if the evaluation was done by teachers(say Manoj Jha) or Senior Students(hired as evaluators)?

    Also, was any personal discussion/doubt clearing time was given?
  • I can't speak for the institute but you do get personal interaction.. specially Manoj sir and Piyush sir ..they are very very helpful..no idea about other faculties since I never interacted with them..these two check copies themselves..others I think but don't have conclusive info to say yes or no either
  • I got very good marks in pol science test series..GS was average including ethics..so this you can use to make your judgement.. although I don't know how much of that was my own fault

    Not sure if it helps but I attended for Ethics and Essay in 2016. Copies were evaluated or at least commented upon by Manoj Sir.

    @kabira
    Thanks Surana.
    My doubt is that I have seen evaluation from close quarters. If its not done by an able mind, it defeats one of two purposes of joining the test series (writing practice and other being evaluation itself).
    They are starting their year long test series course, but it is quite costly, if I invest my time, I just want to be sure that the evaluation is done not for the sake of it but actually brings out the broad flaws in my approach.

    Also, Can you share you experiences with Orient? As another thing which comes to my mind, is should personal guidance(which relatively smaller institutes like Orient, (particularly Atul Sir) can provide) be valued over the accepted quality stuff from Institutes like GS Score?

    Your thoughts..

    I understand your concern which are similar to mine not so long ago. If I pay 25000 for test series and then the copy is checked by someone who has not cleared prelims, it does not serve the purpose. So I am a big advocate of smaller coaching institutes.

    This was the reason I joined Orient in 2016 for test series and again in 2017. And it was the same reason i joined forumIAS last year as they were relatively new in the market and had the bandwidth to give individual attention.

    No doubt bigger institutes offer better quality questions but then you can get those paper anyway from the market, attempt on your own and get them checked by your peers or teachers whom you know well personally.
