If it comes through, I'd like it to be irrelevant to me, but why remain sad about a backup! If it doesn't, I will have to give it all next year. If nothing works out I will move on, and do something useful with my life instead of remaining stuck in a self loathing loop by projecting my inner sense of my own insecurities onto the world.
